Turquoise Bear Fetish Necklace

From the Design Studio on the reservation in New Mexico, this exquisite bear necklace features 17 individual bears  all lovingly carved in detail and - legend would have it - imbued with the spirit of the bear.  So this necklace not only looks good but brings to the wearer  the values of inner knowing and power.  Indeed the Bear is considered exceptionally powerful, because like man, he can stand on two legs.  Thus he is seen by the Navajo to be a good mediator between the animal spirits and humans.
